In order to guide hospitals to assess the current situation of preparation and response to COVID-19 and other acute respiratory infections, to help protect patients, patients' family members and medical staff to prevent infection, the Ministry of Health has issued the "Set of criteria for safe hospitals to prevent COVID-19 and acute respiratory infections", which is applicable both to public and non-public hospitals.
Phu Yen province has not recorded any COVID-19 cases in the community, but before the epidemic situation is very complicated in many provinces and cities in the country, health facilities have tightened epidemic prevention measures according to documents of directing, guiding and implementing the "Set of criteria for hospitals to be safe against COVID-19 and other acute respiratory infections".

Doctor Pham Hieu Vinh let known: “The hospital thoroughly informed that all medical staff are involved in epidemic prevention and control. Doctors, nurses, and assistants from all departments can be stepped up to medical isolation areas to treat patients suspected of being infected with COVID-19 and medical isolation areas to treat patients infected with COVID-19."
Phu Yen Rehabilitation Hospital has also well implemented the motto "4 on the spot"; all departments have tightened epidemic prevention measures according to the set of hospital safety criteria. At Phu Yen Eye Hospital, in addition to requiring patients to wear masks, use hand-sanitizer before entering the clinic, practice social distancing, do not let patients gather in front of a clinic, at positions where patients are waiting for medical examination, medical staff are often reminded patients to wear masks and disinfect hands.
