The activities of supporting women in start-up have been implemented by the Women's Unions at all levels for many years with numerous practical and effective models. Thereby, helping local women realize their dreams on the start-up path, promote the spirit of innovation, heading towards building a green economy with sustainable development and joining hands for the community health.

Environmentally friendly and safe for health
At the end of 2019, the provincial Women's Union collaborated with the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to organize a workshop of instructing poor women to start a business with methods of treating organic waste into products. Mrs Trinh Thi Hong, Director of Minh Hong Biotechnology One member Co. Ltd (Da Nang city) shared the method of composting plant waste to create bioproducts by enzyme technology; introducing models of 2T Savings (saving and taking advantage), models of multi-use bioproducts produced from plant organic waste such as biological dishwashing liquid and biological cleaning water which are safe for health and environment.
Realizing that this is a meaningful task to help local women have a stable job and contribute to raising people's awareness about the importance of household waste classification, the Women's Union of Binh Ngoc commune (Tuy Hoa city) implemented a start-up model by recycling organic waste into biological cleaning water at the Women's Unions of villages of Ngoc Phuoc 1 and Ngoc Phuoc 2. Through experimenting and applying knowledge shared by Mrs Trinh Thi Hong, 12 women participating in this model went to markets and orange juice places to collect all kinds of peels of oranges, lemons, grapefruits, pineapples, lemongrass leaves, locusts, pineapples...; then, preliminary processing and incubating them as to the instruction.
“Currently, Binh Ngoc biological dishwashing liquid has been tested for safety for consumer health by the Technical Center for Standards and Quality 3. Its price is 32,000 dongs/liter, more affordable than similar products on the market. Moreover, it does not cause skin irritation and is environmentally friendly. So far, they have extracted 12,685 liters of dishwashing liquid and floor cleaner to sell restaurants, hotels, restaurants, kindergartens and consumers in and out of the province”, said Mrs Nguyen Thi Anh Hong, President of the Women's Union of Binh Ngoc commune.
Supporting women in start-up
Towards building a green economy, the Vietnam Women's Union Central Committee has launched numerous initiatives to support women in start-up over the years. The project on Supporting women in start-up in the period of 2017-2025 approved by the Government has encouraged and spread spirit of entrepreneurship among all women across the country, simultaneously, connecting and supporting women to realize their dreams on the start-up path, promoting the spirit of innovation and building a green economy with sustainable development.
In Phu Yen, the activities of supporting women in start-up have been implemented by Women's Unions at all levels for years with numerous practical and effective activities. It is known that, in addition to the start-up model by recycling organic waste into biological cleaning water, the Women's Union of Binh Ngoc commune has also established a model of producing safe vegetables with high productivity in Ngoc Phuoc 2 village.
Besides, the model of producing safe vegetables in Hai Rieng town (Song Hinh district) has attracted more than 40 female members. This is a pilot model of the provincial Women's Union to implement the Project 938 on propagandizing and supporting local women to participate in solving social problems related to food safety and hygiene.
According to the President of the Women's Union of Song Hinh district Nay Ho Nhon, in addition to actively propagandizing and mobilizing local women to join hands to protect community health by activities of safe food production and processing, the provincial Women's Union and the Women's Union of Song Hinh district have coordinated with functional sectors to organize training for women on safe vegetable growing and care techniques, how to use pesticides properly and creating conditions for them to borrow capital to invest in production development… Currently, the women's vegetable garden here has become a reliable address for people as well as some restaurants in Hai Rieng town.
Vice President of the provincial Women's Union, Ms Nguyen Thi Phuong Lien, lets known that Women's Unions at all levels in Phu Yen have been implementing numerous coordinated activities such as: mobilizing the provincial Business Women's Club to support loans for women in difficult circumstances to start a business; coordinating with functional sectors to organize activities to guide women in starting a business, exploiting and using loan capital effectively; supporting connection with enterprises in the market in production and consumption of products. Simultaneously, promoting communication and mobilizing women to participate in economic development activities associated with environmental protection, building economic development models suitable to local weather and soil, transforming structure of plants and animals; coordinating to organize science and technology transfer activities, production and business according to VietGAP standards, implement the principles of waste reduction in daily life and production activities...
